Expenses – Actual vs Budget
This report is relevant if you have set a budget for your property. It provides a breakdown of your budgeted amounts, and compares it with the actual amount of money spent on your property in a given year.
If you don’t like use budgets, the administrator can have these pages removed by unchecking them on the Member Access page in Settings.
The Variance column shows whether there is a positive or negative balance in the budget. If the dollar amount is in green, the actual expenses for the year were less than the budgeted amount, demonstrating a surplus. If the dollar amount is in red, the actual expenses were above the budgeted amount, this amount is a deficit.
The Variance % column shows the percentage differences in the budgeted expenses compared to actual expenses, using the same red and green coding as above.
